What is PEACEWOOD ?

Wood is the carrier of life force, Wood gives warmth, safety and is both in the earth and in heaven
Peace is the home and the truest state of our soul heart and mind.
PEACEWOOD Festival is going to happen in Toruń, a beautiful medieval City of Angels in the middle of Poland in the middle of Europe.

Toruń is a charming city with historical buildings, gorgeous churches
and the Vistula river that flows through Poland, historical tract that has connected South and North of Europe for ages.

The PEACEWOOD is going to heal history by Music

and is manifestation of the MY MUSIC FOR PEACE program

Let MUSIC speak and opens our hearts for PEACE
We all want to live in a peaceful and nonviolent world.
The world feeds us with more wars and suffering than with peace and happiness.
Is that we really want ?
Do we fell we have no choice because the dark side seems stronger any way ?

You can pretend you are strong and "realistic" and ready to fit this brutal world, but actually, deep in soul, we all, including you, are peaceful and kind.
Let's awaken our spirit to want Peace.

What can you do for Peace
You alone, a single person,
Can you stop a bullet
A cannonball
A fanatic leader of a country who sends his people to death.

Maybe not. But we can develop peace and tenderness in our hearts and at the same time enjoy life, enjoy Music and help

people by being capable to give more love and peace.
The more peace in your heart is, the bigger power to create global peace.

What we ask you for:
Think of moments when you listen to Music you love and feel in your heart
so much that you can say "Yes! this is MY beloved MUSIC" and then, when you connect your excitement with your positive thoughts and wish for peace you can call it MY MUSIC FOR PEACE.

Peace in global scale can be achieved by opening hearts for peace
Music is the international language of hearts.

The Festival's goals:

1. Starting a cycle PEACEWOOD taking place on 6th August, in relation to paying homage to victims

of nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and all military conflicts
2. Cultural development, inspiring and initiating activities rising the level of cultural awareness, preparing people

to receiving works of high culture
3. Integration of organizations and individuals from different countries for the world peace, lowering the scale of wars and violence and for protecting environment

4. Creating attitudes Citizen of the World, awakening the sense of common responsibility for our Planet

Parts of the PEACEWOOD

Concerts: Lisbeth Scott, Józef Skrzek, Steve Kindler,Kara Johnstad, Fabrizio Pigliucci

Lisbeth Scott is a world renowned vocalist who was featured on the soundtracks for famous films like :The Chronicles of Narnia, Munich, The Passion of the Christ, where she wrote and sang lyrics in Aramaic.
Józef Skrzek is a leading Polish multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer, an important figure in Polish rock. In his early carrier. In 1971, he created the progressive-rock group Silesian Blues Band - SBB
Steve Kindler, an internationally recognized violinist, playing 9 string electric violin. He played in The Honolulu Symphony, in John McLaughlin's fusion band, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and also with Jan Hammer, Jeff Beck, and Kitaro. Kara Johnstad is a singer /songwriter based in Berlin, Germany. One of the most versatile voices of our time, she sings jazz, pop, film music and does orchestra work. She has performed in numerous festivals
Fabrizio Pigliucci. He has twenty years experience in arranging, orchestrating, composing for cinema, TV, and theatre. He worked at 45 soundtracks by Warner,Emi,Buena Vista, Rai Trade, advertising tunes for italian tv(RAI),Sky,etc.
